Green Day Summer Tour 2010

by on Apr.06, 2010, under Green Day Concerts

Green Day is slated to come back to good ole US of A after touring Europe in the beginning of 2010. I’m sure the boys will be happy to be back here state side as this will wrap up the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. I’ve already got my tickets for the August 14th show at PNC Arts Center in New Jersey. Opening up for the pop-punk trio is AFI, who I’ve been a big fan of for a long time. This is a going to be a great summer tour for Green Day and even includes a stop at this year’s Lollapalooza in August.

Green Day Rock Band to feature American Idiot Album in full

by on Apr.03, 2010, under Green Day News

Hey boys and girls, if you can’t get enough of your Rock Band fix from your old games, this June 2010, the Green Day version is hitting stores worldwide on all major platforms including the PS3, XBox 360 and the Wii. I won’t bore you with prices and details but it’ll cost your parents an arm and a leg just like any other video game.

What’s different about this version of Rock Band? Well the Green Day version is the first Rock Band ever to feature an album in its entirety.  That’s right, someone was paying attention over at Electronic Arts and realized American Idiot is meant to be heard in full!! It also features 3 part harmonies which was introduced in the Beatles Rock Band as well as more live motion capture and lots of Pyrotechnics and body surfing.  (see the video below)

Even though the release of 21st Century Breakdown was Green Day’s latest album, it was received with luke warm success and American Idiot still seems to be causing most of the major buzz for the band and fans. Green Day’s American Idiot was also turned into a Broadway Show and there are rumors of an American Idiot feature film in the works. You can also look for Green Day at this years Lollapalooza as well.

Green Day to Headline Lollapalooza ’10 ?

by on Apr.02, 2010, under Green Day Concerts

According Rolling Stone, Green Day may be the latest artist revealed by the fun folks over at Lollapalooza. The folks at the festival have been revealing bands one letter at a time in a “Wheel of Fortune” format and yesterday the letter ‘R’ was revealed with speculations including Pearl Jam. As it turns it looks like Green Day will be heading up the rock festival in 2010 along with Arcade Fire, Soundgarden, Phoenix and the Strokes as well as Hot Chip, Chromeo and Spoon. Until the official announcement is all of this just speculation?

Lollapalooza is scheduled to take place in Chicago at Grant Park this August 6 – 8 2010 and officially will officially announce the lineup on April 6 2010. For more details on Lollapalooza and the full lineup once revealed, visit their site at http://2010.lollapalooza.com/

Last of the American Girls Video Premiere

by on Apr.01, 2010, under Green Day News

So it looks like the latest video from Green Day’s 21st Century Breakdown is finally here!! Check out “Last of the American Girls” by Green Day. It appeared today, April 1st 2010 on MTV.com. Directed by Marc Webb whose also directed other videos for Green Day, AFI (touring with Green Day this summer), Weezer, My Chemical Romance and others.

I’m thinking this video is pretty sweet sans the explosion at the end? What does everyone else think?
