by on Jan.04, 2012, under Green Day News

So Green Day has been playing lots of little shows since August in Los Angeles, New York in October and San Francisco in November. They’ve been peppering the shows with lots of new songs including Carpe Diem, Sweet 16, Stray Heart, Amy, Last Gang in Town, Stay The Night, Nuclear Family,Too Young to Die and Little Boy Named Train.

All these new will hopefully appear as part of the new Green Day album in 2012.

Here’s the best clip of we’ve seen being passed around the interwebs. The quality on some of the others just didn’t do it for me but go check out YouTube and you’ll find em….

This is Carpe Diem by Green Day from a secret show at the Mezzanine in San Francisco CA on November 1, 2011.

Green Day fills in for Jane’s Addiction at KROQ’s Not So Silent Night 2011.

Some of you may have heard, some of you may have been lucky enough to have been there but the bottom line is Green Day rocks and put together a killer set. They went back, way back, pulling out 2000 Light Years Away and Going to Pasalacqua with a whole lot of Dookie in there as well. Florence and the Machine also joined the punk rockers on stage before Burnout. Sounds a like a magical  night and a great way to start the holidays with a little gift from our boys in Green Day. Foxboro Hot Tubs invade New York

by on Apr.23, 2010, under Green Day Concerts, Green Day News

So there are tons of Foxboro Hot Tubs rumors floating around New York City this week. I’ve been trying to gather as much information as possible. Apparently there are two shows just added.

One is tonight, Friday April 23 2010 at Don Hills NYC located at 511 Greenwich St. at Spring St. New York City. Show starts at 7PM but I have no details on tickets. It’s likely first come first server. Call 212-219-2850 for more information.

Next up is a show this Sunday April 25 2010 at New York’s Bowery Electric. Tickets are $20 at the door.

*Due to the massive amount of interest, The Bowery Electric will not allow lineups before 8pm on Sunday. Anyone arriving early will be asked to leave. Doors open at 11pm show starts at 11:30pm.

They have only done a small tour of the Bay Area in California so these two shows are both once in a lifetime events.  If you’ve never heard of the Foxboro Hot Tubs, well then you probably shouldn’t even be on our site, they are Green Day’s alter ego’s headed by Reverend Strychnine Twitch (aka Billie Joe Armstrong).

Check out our cover of Mother Mary by Foxboro Hot Tubs….

Green Day Rock Band to feature American Idiot Album in full

by on Apr.03, 2010, under Green Day News

Hey boys and girls, if you can’t get enough of your Rock Band fix from your old games, this June 2010, the Green Day version is hitting stores worldwide on all major platforms including the PS3, XBox 360 and the Wii. I won’t bore you with prices and details but it’ll cost your parents an arm and a leg just like any other video game.

What’s different about this version of Rock Band? Well the Green Day version is the first Rock Band ever to feature an album in its entirety.  That’s right, someone was paying attention over at Electronic Arts and realized American Idiot is meant to be heard in full!! It also features 3 part harmonies which was introduced in the Beatles Rock Band as well as more live motion capture and lots of Pyrotechnics and body surfing.  (see the video below)

Even though the release of 21st Century Breakdown was Green Day’s latest album, it was received with luke warm success and American Idiot still seems to be causing most of the major buzz for the band and fans. Green Day’s American Idiot was also turned into a Broadway Show and there are rumors of an American Idiot feature film in the works. You can also look for Green Day at this years Lollapalooza as well.

Green Day to Headline Lollapalooza ’10 ?

by on Apr.02, 2010, under Green Day Concerts

According Rolling Stone, Green Day may be the latest artist revealed by the fun folks over at Lollapalooza. The folks at the festival have been revealing bands one letter at a time in a “Wheel of Fortune” format and yesterday the letter ‘R’ was revealed with speculations including Pearl Jam. As it turns it looks like Green Day will be heading up the rock festival in 2010 along with Arcade Fire, Soundgarden, Phoenix and the Strokes as well as Hot Chip, Chromeo and Spoon. Until the official announcement is all of this just speculation?

Lollapalooza is scheduled to take place in Chicago at Grant Park this August 6 – 8 2010 and officially will officially announce the lineup on April 6 2010. For more details on Lollapalooza and the full lineup once revealed, visit their site at http://2010.lollapalooza.com/

Last of the American Girls Video Premiere

by on Apr.01, 2010, under Green Day News

So it looks like the latest video from Green Day’s 21st Century Breakdown is finally here!! Check out “Last of the American Girls” by Green Day. It appeared today, April 1st 2010 on MTV.com. Directed by Marc Webb whose also directed other videos for Green Day, AFI (touring with Green Day this summer), Weezer, My Chemical Romance and others.

I’m thinking this video is pretty sweet sans the explosion at the end? What does everyone else think?
